Body Donation Program

Body Donation Program

Olinger - Saenz Mortuary Service is dedicated to providing caring, personalized, and detailed services to you and your family in your time of bereavement. We have partnered with several programs to offer Whole Body Donation as a meaningful way for you or a loved one to contribute to the furthering of science and medicine, while making a positive impact.

Most medical schools and several private organizations accept donations of whole bodies for use in research and education. These donor-accepting programs usually offer a no-cost cremation option following the donation and families can request the return of the cremated remains.

A screening process is required to determine eligibility. You may call 210-567-3900, option 3, for more information regarding Whole Body Donation with UTHSC or to initiate the screening process. (Note that screening is completed once the death has occurred.)

When Whole Body Donation eligibility is not met, Olinger - Saenz Mortuary Service can assist families with affordable Traditional Funeral Services or Cremation alternative options.
