Tammy Jo Garcia, age 66, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Tammy was born on August 9, 1959, in San Antonio, Texas, to Raymond and Evelyn Patterson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael A. Garcia Sr., with whom she is now joyfully reunited.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Chrisi (Jason) Erlanson, Stacy Garcia, Shelby Garcia, and Michael A. Garcia Jr., and by her two grandsons, Wyatt and Eli Erlanson, who were the pride and joy of her life.

Tammy lived with steadfast faith and a generous heart. She had a gift for making everyone feel cared for, especially through her love of cooking—her meals were more than food; they were expressions of love.

She will be laid to rest on February 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace, united once again with loved ones who went before her.
