Robert B. Simpson, died April 10, 2025 at the Audie Murphy VA Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas. He was 84 years old.

He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1963. After graduation he went on to train and serve as a fighter pilot flying the F-100, F- 105 D/F, F-4 and the F-16. Robert retired from the District of Columbia Air National Guard as a Colonel, June 1993. He served 30 years.

He is survived by his wife Deborah Faunce, son John Holland his wife Martha, daughters Susan Holland and Kate Najmola her husband Mike, step-children Lisa Ponder her husband Layne, Jenifer Binion her husband Dex, Robert Barnwell his wife Megan, brothers Jim Fletcher and Jack Fletcher, as well as fourteen grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Robert bequeathed his body to the University of Texas - Health where he continues to serve.

Family and friends will gather to hold a celebration of life on May 25, 2025.
