Robert Anthony
Malesich
Sep 19, 1941 — Jan 24, 2022
Robert Anthony Malesich passed on to his eternal home in heaven on Monday, January 24, 2022, at the age of 80 of complications from a heart condition in San Antonio, Tx. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, selfless, giving and totally devoted to his family.
Bob was born on September 19, 1941, in Butte, Montana to Ed and Barbara Malesich. After graduating High School, Bob attended Montana State where he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Bob moved from Montana to Canoga Park, Ca where he worked at Rocketdyne, and later as a civil engineer at Point Mugu for 32 years.
He met and married the love of his life Janet Lu Briggs on June 27, 1970, in Canoga Park, Ca. They were happily married for 51 years. They had 4 sons. Bob was a faithful and devoted husband, father, friend, and neighbor.
Bob never turned down an opportunity to help others. This extended to his spouse, children, friends and neighbors. He was a very supportive and attentive husband. He was a coach for each of his four boys and loved to watch them compete. He learned to coach sports through experience, watching videos and reading books. He devoted much of his free time to his sons' interests. He never missed a game, a school function or church activity. He helped neighbors work on cars and any other odd jobs that he had knowledge to fix. In his sons' eyes, he could fix anything. When he retired, he spent time helping his grandchildren by doing projects together with them.
Bob was a true engineer. He enjoyed working on cars, landscaping, home improvements, and working with wood. Bob enjoyed including his sons in his passions, and they loved spending time and building memories. Bob was a man of his word. If said he would do something he would always follow through. He was a no-nonsense straight forward person.
Bob Malesich is survived by his spouse Janet Briggs; his four sons Chad [Lisa], Todd [Angela], Neil, and Wade Malesich; his older brother Ed Malesich and younger sister Joan Byrnes [Kevin]; his 10 grandchildren Kruz, Payton, Ethan, Jada, Milla, Annie, Devon, Niko, Brooklyn, and Bella.
Bob Malesich was preceded in death by his Parents Ed and Barbara Malesich
