Oscar Abrego Reyes entered into Heaven on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Oscar was born on November 7, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas to Vicente Reyes and Eloisa Villarreal. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Olivia Anthony. Oscar is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Genevieve Martinez Reyes and their children Edward M. Reyes & wife Teresa, Emelda Gonzales & husband Joe, Daniel Reyes & wife Sandra and Steven Reyes & wife Carmen. He was also blessed with his grandchildren Phillip, Veronica, Sabrina, Henry, Addison, Daniel Jonathan, Jessica Faith, Erik, Morgan, Stephen Vincent and Stormy Rae along with 22 great-grand children. Oscar also leaves behind his siblings Elvira Perez and Rudy Reyes, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Oscar was an awesome dad, husband and patriot. He was unselfish with his time, was quick to forgive and had his own special way of letting you know how much he loved you (if he wasn't picking on you, he didn't love you). He enjoyed fishing, welding and traveling abroad. During their 69 beautiful years of marriage, Oscar and Genevieve were fortunate enough to visit Europe two times and take a cruise to Puerto Vallarta. They were members of the 55 club of Methodist Hospital and traveled together throughout Texas. Oscar lived a full, beautiful life and leaves behind many memories for his family to cherish along with a legacy of love and passion etched into their hearts and minds.
