Nicolas P. DeLua entered into rest on August 3, 2012 at the age of 86 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Severa DeLua, stepfather, Francisco Gonzales, mother of his children, Guadalupe DeLua, mother of his step children, Maria DeLua, granddaughter, Guadalupe C. DeLua, great grandson, Roman Gabriel Gill, sister, Julia Rosales, brothers, Patricio DeLua, Ignacio and Frank Gonzales. He is survived by his children, Jose Gabriel DeLua, Patricia DeLua, Janie DeLua Lopez (Johnny), Nicolas DeLua, Jr. (Olivia), Oscar DeLua (Gracie), and Lettie Reinhart (John Paul), brother, Rosendo Gonzales, 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Monday, August 6 from 5-9 pm with a rosary to follow at 7:00 pm in the Olinger-Saenz Mortuary Chapel. Funeral procession will depart from the funeral home at 9:00 am for a Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church,Nixon, Texas. Interment will follow at Latin American Cemetery, Nixon, Texas with military honors
