Our beloved father, Edward R. Rettig(MSgt, USAF Ret.) passed away May 15, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 67. He was born in Ohio on October 8, 1943. Mr. Rettig served in the United States Air Force and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant before retiring and going forward to work for the United States Postal Service. Mr. Rettig is survived by his daughter, Sheila Villarreal; son, Brian Rettig; former spouse and mother of his children, Elma Rettig; sister,Rosemary Timdrell; brother, George Rettig; grandchildren, Stephanie Villarreal, Steve Villarreal, Jr., Brianna Morgan, Jeffery Morgan, Jerremy Morgan, and one on the way; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Mary Rettig. The visitation for Edward will begin on Thursday, May 26, 2011 in Olinger-Saenz Mortuary at 10am and conclude at 1:30pm to prepare for a 2:30pm arrival at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.
