Marita Wilhelmina Kruschinski Rush passed away on June 15, 2021 at St David's Hospital in Round Rock Texas from fast moving small cell lung cancer caused by years of smoking. She was born in 1946 in Straubing Germany and came to the USA as a legal immigrant in 1965, settling in Columbia, South Carolina. She proudly became an American citizen a few years later.

She is survived by her sister, Helga Grete Cieszynski Kruschinski Dodson, her daughter Sylvia Curtis McCrory, and her two beloved grandsons Colin and Ryan. She also had a son, Stephen T. Stoner. She was preceeded in death by her mother, Helene Irene Cieszynski Kruschinski and father, Max Walter Günther Kruschinski.

Marita worked professionally as an accountant in South Carolina, she was a math wiz, graduating from college in Germany at the age of 16. She later pursued a Master of Business degree in the USA graduating with a 4.0 average. Her 3 ^rd husband's new job took her to Cedar Park Texas in 2000. She loved Texas so decided to stay after the divorce. She loved animals and always had a dog or two as pets as well as a cat now and then. She was talented in many areas, a great cook, a gifted interior decorator, an artist and a poet. She loved entertaining her friends and the neighborhood kids when she felt well enough to do so. She consumed books like she would consume the many German Christmas cookies she would bake every holiday. She also knitted blankets for animals at the local humane society.

Thank you to her friend Renata for taking her dog Sam. And thank you to her other friends for helping to clear out her house and donate numerous items to charity.

Marita is greatly missed by her daughter and grandsons.
