In Loving Memory of Maria Modesta Rodriguez

Maria Modesta (Montemayor) Rodriguez, born in El Cercado Villa de Santiago, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, has left us with a heavy heart. She passed away at Baptist Medical Center Hospital on January 20, 2024 at 82 years old, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength.  She is survived by children Rob Gonzalez (Laura Gonzalez), Raquel (Gonzalez) DeLeon (David DeLeon) and grandchildren Kayla DeLeon, Kristen DeLeon, Karina DeLeon, David Zachary DeLeon, Lyla Gonzalez, and Gwyneth Gonzalez.  Maria Rodriguez will be remembered for her unwavering love for family and friends.

Maria was remembered for the profound impact she had on the lives of those around her.  She dedicated her life to hard work and perseverance.  For many years, Maria Rodriguez worked tirelessly at Pauline's Flower Shop, on the southwest side of San Antonio, where she shared her passion for creating beautiful flower arrangements that brought joy to countless individuals.  Her commitment to her craft reflected her deep appreciation for the beauty that could be found in the simplest things in life.

Even more important, Maria Rodriguez was a devoted mother who raised two wonderful children. Her love and guidance shaped the foundation of a family that will forever carry the warmth and strength she instilled in them.

May Maria Modesta Rodriguez rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty she brought into this world and the love she shared with all.
