Maria
Herrera
Jan 21, 1927 — Mar 7, 2023
Our exceptional, loving mother, Marie Morin Herrera, 96, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 4:26 PM in San Antonio, Tx. She was born in Chilton, Texas to Eufracio and Isabel Rodriguez Morin on Friday, January 21, 1927. She was a wonderful mother to all her 11 children: Juan (Yolanda) Ramirez, Robstown, Tx., Maria Magdalena (Jose) Maldonado from Alvarado, Tx., and from Corpus Christi: Santos M. Ramirez, Martha Laura (the late Dallas) Rust, Ester (Richard) Castillo from San Antonio, Tx., Manuel (Miriam) Herrera, Corpus, Ricardo Herrera, Corpus, Luis Herrera (San Antonio), Israel Herrera (deceased), Isabel Herrera, Corpus, and Gilbert Herrera (Lydia, deceased) Corpus Christi.
Mom Marie was also blessed with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren - 5 generations of blessings.
Also surviving her are a brother, Cipriano Morin, Sr, Los Angeles, California, and a sister, Juanita Garza, Robstown, Texas. She was predeceased by 15 brothers and sisters.
Mom had a vivid memory down to her last breath. She was also one of the strongest and determined women we knew and raised all of her 11 children with the same values. She will be dearly missed by all her family. We look eagerly to the time when we will all be reunited once again to enjoy life as our loving Creator meant it to be — one where there will no longer be any pain, suffering or death. (Rev 21:3,4) We will enjoy a blissful, secure life under God's Kingdom through Christ forever and ever. Amen.
The 23rd Psalm was a favorite of Mom's because she saw God as her loving Shepherd always looking after his sheep, of which she was one. She truly enjoyed singing to the scripture in John 3:16 — "God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son so that we might not die but have life eternal." She looked forward to the realization of this privileged hope!
Mom was a member of "El Mensajero de Paz," San Antonio, Texas. She was also a member of The Army of God in California. Plus, she had a hobby dear to her heart — Bingo — where she met lots of friends.
