Obituary

Margaret Ruth Tuller, age 84, of San Antonio, Texas, departed this life peacefully on May 3, 2026, in the presence of her devoted family.

Margaret "Ruth" was born on September 7, 1941, in Independence, Missouri to George and Virginia Thiebaud. She was not only an adored wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great grandmother, but also a cherished friend whose warmth touched everyone she met. Her unwavering devotion to her family and those around her made her presence a source of comfort and joy, leaving behind a legacy of love that will be treasured forever.

Margaret "Ruth" coached youth bowling and managed King Louie West Bowling Center in Overland Park, Kansas. She worked at Grocers Video in Gardner, then as a screen printer at Stouse Sign and Decal until retiring in 2003 and relocating to San Antonio, Texas.

Ruth's passion for bowling was truly remarkable; she competed in the USBC Women's National Championships for an extraordinary 35 consecutive years, forging lifelong friendships along the way. Her love for gathering with family and friends filled her days with laughter and cherished memories. Margaret's generous spirit shone brightly as she devoted herself to volunteering at her church's food bank, embodying compassion and kindness in every action. She touched countless lives, leaving behind a legacy of joy, service, and heartfelt connection that will be remembered always.

Margaret "Ruth" leaves behind her loving husband of 48 years, David A. Tuller, who stood by her side through life's joys and challenges. Her legacy continues through her cherished children: daughters Rebecca Dawn Soria (Raul) and Elizabeth Ruth King (Nathan); sons Patrick Dwayne Tuller (Shaunna), David Archer, Louis Bowman, and Wallace Bowman; and daughters Anna Stock (Hank) and Alisa Rodriguez (George), who were adopted by love into her family. Margaret's heart was blessed with grandchildren—Adia (Mike), Sierra (Zach), Nicklaus, Noah (Julie), Matt (Blesilda), Ashleigh (Richard), Rebecca (Luis), Ashley, David (Abby), Rebecca J, Kayla, Julia, Lily, Andrew, Justin, and Collin—each one carrying a piece of her spirit. She delighted in her great-grandchildren: Jude, Ellena, James, Kenzie, Aurora, Harper, and Victoria, as well as many treasured nieces and nephews. Though she was preceded in death by her parents, George and Virginia Thiebaud, her brother Roy G. Thiebaud, and her sister Winona Sparks, Margaret's love and warmth will forever surround those she leaves behind, echoing through generations.

With love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, family and friends are warmly invited to gather in remembrance of Margaret "Ruth." A celebration of her remarkable life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at King of Kings Lutheran Church in San Antonio, Texas. Loved ones will come together before the service at 10:00 a.m. to offer comfort, share memories, and honor Ruth's enduring legacy. Following the service at 11:00 a.m. all are welcome to join in fellowship and reflection during a luncheon, where laughter, stories, and the spirit of her kindness will continue to unite those whose lives she touched.

A "bowling" celebration of life is being lovingly planned to honor Margaret "Ruth" and the joy she brought to so many through her passion for the sport. More details will be shared once arrangements are finalized, so all who cherished her may join together in tribute and remembrance.

Margaret "Ruth" will forever be remembered for her boundless kindness, infectious humor, and unwavering love for her family, her close-knit bowling community, and the countless friends she gathered in her journey. Her light continues to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, leaving an indelible mark of warmth, generosity, and joy.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honor Margaret "Ruth" to consider making a donation in her memory to King of Kings Lutheran Church (13888 Dreamwood Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78233.) In doing so, her legacy of compassion and service will continue to touch others, just as she did throughout her life.
