Lowell "Dean" Duke, 74, of Converse, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 5, 1952, in Monahans, Texas, he was the son of the late Lowell Curtis Duke and Josephine Juanita (Jordan) Duke.
A veteran of the United States Army, Dean served three years with honor. While stationed in Germany, his dedication and merit earned him the rank of Specialist 5. Following his honorable discharge, he embarked on a forty-year career in the oil industry and retired in 2015.

Dean's love for fishing was something they enjoyed together, side by side, for half a century. Dean was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. One of Dean's greatest joys in life was being Poppa to his only grandson Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell Curtis Duke and Josephine Jordan Duke, stepmother Lanell Duke, as well as his nephew Carl Duke.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; his children, Lynn Duke and wife Sarah of Austin, TX, and Brandy Dewey and husband Tyler of Converse, TX; and his grandson, Lowell Lincoln Duke. He is also survived by his brothers, Larry Duke (Rhonda) of Whitney, TX, Phil Stroud (Revis) of Midland, TX, Glen Stroud (Charlotte) of Denver City, TX; sisters, Belinda Duke (Marla) and Missy Duke of Midland, TX, and Rhonda Fielder of Corpus Christi, TX; sisters-in-law, Edna Ringener and Leticia Mckenzie of Stanton, TX, Bonnie Bryand of Washington state, Lana Ledbetter of Greenwood, Texas, Alice Armstrong and Diane Mckenzie of Midland; and many nieces, nephews, and family.
