Obituary

Linda Lucille Friesenhahn, born June 4, 1949, passed away on January 27, 2026. She was a proud graduate of St. Gerard Catholic High School and lived a life filled with simple pleasures, deep love, and quiet devotion to those around her. She also spent part of her professional life serving in the cafeteria at Churchill High School, where she brought warmth and kindness to those around her.

In 1973, Linda married James Friesenhahn, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, companionship, and shared traditions. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Lucielle Roberts, and her sister Judith Spurkowsky. She is survived by her devoted husband, James, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.Linda found joy in the everyday rhythms of life. She was a voracious reader who made regular trips to her local book swap in search of her next story. Her mornings were often spent outdoors, where she faithfully fed the squirrels and filled bird feeders, taking delight in the many birds that gathered in her yard.

She took great pride in her collection of Fiesta medals, often waiting patiently in long lines to add a new piece to her treasured collection. A devoted Spurs fan, Linda looked forward to attending games at the AT&T Center, cheering enthusiastically for her team each season. She held strong in her faith that the Spurs would inevitably win another championship.

Summers brought some of her happiest moments, as she joined neighbors at the community pool for daily water aerobics, enjoying both the activity and the companionship. She also found comfort and joy in the simple pleasures of her neighborhood, watching James tend their community garden and preparing meals from the fresh vegetables he harvested.

Linda cherished time spent along the Texas coast, especially in Rockport, where she and James enjoyed fishing trips together. She loved walking along the Texas shores, collecting seashells and taking in the peaceful beauty of the water.
An animal lover at heart, Linda cared deeply for her pets over the years, offering them the same gentle attention and affection she showed to all living things.

Linda will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her appreciation for life's simple joys, and the quiet, meaningful ways she brought joy to her family and community. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
