Linda Ware Ensminger, 67, of Schertz, TX closed her eyes on August 22, 2011 and opened them to see and be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Linda was born October 15, 1943 in Pasadena, TX to Richard McClure Ware and Esther Cone Ware. In 1972, Linda moved from Freeport, TX to San Antonio with her three children and began a career with the Department of Defense retiring in 2003 from the Budget Office at Randolph Air Force Base. She also established and operated a part time landscape business, Landscape Designs by Linda for several years. Linda was an excellent cook and baker. In 1983, she met her husband Gary L. Ensminger, Sr. and they were married in November 1984. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law Miriam "Mimi" Ware. She is survived by her husband and her children John R. Burris (Mandy) of League City, TX; Greg W. Burris (Jennifer) of Friendswood, TX; Donna C. Silliman (Richard) of McKinney, TX; her two brothers Ricci Ware, Sr. of Seguin, TX and John A. Ware (Catherine) of Stillwater, OK. She also leaves behind her extended family Gary L. Ensminger, Jr. (Wendy) of Laveen, AZ; Stephen C. Ensminger (Leslie) of Draper, UT; Michael A. Ensminger (Carolyn) of Marlton, NJ; David C. Ensminger (Michelle) of Barrington, IL who she always loved and considered her own, 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. The family wishes to express their extreme gratitude to the Doctors, nurses and health care staff at Northeast Methodist Hospital for their loving care of Linda. Her life and her home going will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 27, 2011 at The Country Church, FM 78, Marion, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Country Church.
