Irish Mike O'Leary II, 65, went to be with our Lord on June 4, 2026, while surrounded by family.

Born in San Antonio, Texas, to Flo Blackwell and Irish Mike O'Leary, Sr., he was a lifelong resident of San Antonio and the surrounding area of Adkins, Texas. Growing up and working for the family run Sigmor 19 gas station, Irish graduated from East Central High School in 1981.

In 1983, Irish married the love of his life Liana Thomas. They raised four children together. Whether he was coaching their sports teams, assisting at rodeo or show events, or teaching a fishing lesson, Irish always valued time with family and wanted them to know love knew no bounds.

While being a family man, Irish enjoyed being an electrician. At Morlandt Electric, starting in 1984, he rose to vice president, where he took immense pride in sharing his wealth of knowledge, mentoring apprentices, collaborating, and leading others.

In recent years, Irish found freedom on his motorcycle and shared that happiness with the Wild West MC proudly serving as its president at the time of his passing. He also hit the road on new adventures in his RV with family and friends.

Irish is survived by his wife, Liana, of 42 years; his four children: Irish Mike III and spouse Christina, Brendan and spouse Emily, Serena and spouse Luis Rosales, and Jeremy; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers Shawn and spouse Claire, and Shane and spouse Jodi; mother-in-law Lois Thomas and spouse Charles Tschoepe, sister-in-law Leslie Thomas-Sipes and spouse Robert; along with many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Preceded in death by parents Irish and Flo O'Leary and sister Polly Wilhelm.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, 2:30 p.m. at La Vernia Chamber of Commerce Hall.
