Gordon Monroe Smith passed away April 28, 2012 at the age of 90 years after a courageous 10 year battle with Alzheimer's. He is survived by his children, Glenda, Casey, Barbara, Arthur, Joyce, John, Helen Denise, Richard, Betty, Brenda, Kathy, Alice, Helen Marie , Charles, Elizabeth, James, Jason, Gracie, Lola, Wendy, Richard & Larry, Brother, David, Sisters, Ollie, Gail, Sue, Julie & Nelle. Numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a Special Thanks to Buena Vida Nursing Home, Country Care Manor in La Vernia; Also the staff of Odyssey Hospice Care. A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Mission Burial Park South.
