Obituary

Frank Joseph Marcie, Jr.

December 12, 1957 – August 5, 2026

Frank was a lifelong resident of the Alamo City and the first-born son of the late Frank Joseph Marcie, Sr. (Marecic), and Virginia (Small) Marcie.

He retired from San Antonio College in 2023 after 32 years as an Information Systems Specialist. During his later years he helped run Home Jewels Inc., a home restoration business, and was known for his signature custom barn wood doors. His woodworking wasn't just a skill — it was artistry — he was always building something worth admiring. In retirement, he turned his college-honed skills toward designing and selling model airplane kits.

Frank leaves behind a legacy of enduring love. He spent many years fiercely holding onto the memory of his beloved daughter, Melissa, and never stopped keeping her in his heart. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing the search is over.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Marcie (Rick Hrbcek), of Michigan; his sister, Barbara Thaxton, of Nevada; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Patrick Marcie.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Frank's name to support families impacted by separation and childhood trauma. Donations may be directed to Parental Alienation Advocates. https://pa-a.mykajabi.com/donations-for-the-12-step-program
