Elsa Unger entered into rest on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the age of 92 following a ten year battle with Alzheimer's. She was devoted to her family including her loving husband of 69 years, David Unger, children Michael David Unger (Charlotte) of Austin, TX and Mark Stephen Unger (Vicki) of Lafayette, CA, grandchildren Ellen, Timothy, Kayla and Elizabeth, great grandchildren Kathryn, Alex, Lillie and Gracie, and caretaker Cristina. A celebration of Elsa's life was recently held in conjunction with her husband David's 90th birthday celebration at their family home. Elsa was gracious until the very end as her last act was to will her body to the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
