Dolores E. Carpenter, Loving mother and friend to many, passed to heaven Friday morning July 31 ^st , 2020 at home in Austin with family. Dolores passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 84.

Dolores is survived by her two loving sons Tommy M Miers III and Cory Boyd Miers both of Austin Tx.  She is preceded in death by her parents Anita Ruth Freels and Boyd Smith of San Angelo Tx and 2 husbands Tommy M Miers Jr and John Randall Carpenter.

Dolores was born on January 16, 1937 in Anahuac, TX. She  went to Robert E Lee High and San Angelo State University where she met and married Tommy Miers Jr and moved to Lubbock TX .

Dolores went to work for Dr. William McCauley children's dentist as the office manager, from there she went on to work for Envoye Travel and enjoyed a very long career in the Travel business putting together trips all over the world.

Dolores loved playing golf, she was a member of Hillcrest Country Club and Lakeridge Country Club where she served on the board eventually becoming president of the Ladies golf association of Lakeridge.

Dolores extended here love of singing with the "Pride of West Texas" Sweet Adeline's Barber shop choir, attending concerts all over including singing at Madison Square garden in New York City.

Dolores moved to Austin Tx in 2018 to live near her sons, she immersered herself into the Austin culture enjoying music, dining, hanging out at the lake, concerts and even a little Go Kart racing on her 84th birthday. She made many friends along way making everyone of them feeling special and getting to experience some of the passion and sparkle of life that Dolores extended to eveyone she met.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 17 ^th at Ski Shores Café at 2905 Pearce Rd in Austin Tx at 930am.
