Carol Joyce Boehm Kling, Daughter of Rodric Wilson Falknor and Mary Marie Borden, was born on September 21, 1944. Carol was born in San Francisco, California and moved to Texas with her Dad, his wife, Gussie Lucille Falknor, and her two children Betty Jean Thompson (later Diggs) and Dale Theodore Thompson. Carol was raised with Betty and Dale around the Houston area.

Carol was a loving Mother and was special to her whole family. She had an infectious laugh and beautiful smile. Whenever she would walk into a room the whole mood would change because who could ever be mad or sad when she was always so positive. However, she was a spitfire that no one ever wanted to see mad. Words cannot explain the loss that her family feels at this time.

Carol married Freddie Eugene Patterson Sr. on April 6, 1963. Freddie Eugene Patterson Jr. was born in April of 1964, James Bonnell Patterson was born in December of 1965, and Lisa Carol Patterson was born in October of 1967. Carol and Freddie divorced on November 7, 1968. Carol married Doyle W. Kling on January 3, 1969. Robert Wayne Kling was born in September of 1969. Carol and Doyle divorced on October 20, 1975. Carol married Robert Briggs on April 2, 1976, during the marriage Robert Briggs adopted James Bonnell Briggs and Lisa Carol Briggs. Carol and Robert Briggs divorced on January 11, 1996. Carol married Hugo Louis Boehm Jr. on July 11, 1996, and divorced on May 27, 2015. Carol remarried Doyle Kling in January of 2017, and remained married until his passing in August of 2024.
