Obituary

Alma passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 83. She was born in Chicago, Illinois and lived in San Antonio, Texas for more than 69 years. She was a daughter of Emilio and Trinidad Lugo and preceded in death by her youngest son Luis Urzua. Alma is survived by a brother, Damacio Lugo, two sisters, Eva Cardenas and Elva Flores, daughter, Aida Almaguer, two sons, Roberto and Juan Urzua, grandchildren, Gregory Almaguer, Sara Urzua Hernandez, Jessica Almaguer-O'Brien, Sandra Urzua and four great grandchildren. Wherever she lived she made close friends. Traveling throughout Texas and Mexico, she saw the injustice of hunger and need and quickly became an advocate for friends and strangers. Alma fed and clothed people in need by visiting remote areas of Mexico. Friends loved her for the love she gave them through her sewing skills. Wherever she lived, she served. She also became part of their family. Family and friends will remember Alma as an incredible woman that spoke to their hearts through her actions. She had no boundaries for caring. Alma was an Obamista! The family would like to express their thanks to many friends for their love during Alma's illness. Remembrances may be made to Heart To Heart Hospice at 8918 Tesoro Dr. Suite 108, San Antonio TX 78217
